See: H.R. 1146 ( American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2009 (Introduced in House) ) on Thomas.
On the domestic "law-making" front, we're seeing more and more every day that consistent, specific, timely and well-targeted communication with our Representatives and Senators is making a huge difference in the course of proposed anti-gun legislations.
With American law-makers listening so well (for a change) to this outpouring of contact and firm show of resolve on our part, it behooves us to turn our attention to the "mother-of-all-backdoor schemers" - the United Nations.
The U.N. has the ability (if certain extant "treaties"/"agreements" are signed by the current Administration) to roll back a lot of the gains/draws we've achieved - and to bring about at least as many new "laws", "rules" that would negatively impact gun rights, national sovereignty, free speech. etc. as anything the Administration has come up with!
It's time to act: http://tinyurl.com/ppek8s
The JBS letter is excellent. When you fill out your info, it will automatically email all three of your Reps (both Senators and Representative).
You can also add your own opening AND closing and even edit the body of the email itself.
This was my closing:
"The U.N. has ONLY its' own best interests at heart.
They have no BUSINESS trying to dictate our gun laws, control our sea lanes/ mineral rights or to tell us how to raise our kids.
The United States is a SOVEREIGN nation - and I expect YOU - PERSONALLY - to help KEEP it that way by both co-sponsoring and voting FOR this legislation. Thank you."
You might not have noticed, but we're on a roll here lately.
Let's put that "roll" to good use! Pete
