Not "quite" sure if I qualify, but what the hey, I'll give it a go. 1. Forum administrator http://forum.ulc.net (2233 members) 2. Asst. Admin http://ulcseminary.org/forum/ (83 members) 3. Asst. Admin http://www.ulcintertribal.net (147 members) 4. Asst. Admin http://afterburncomputers.com (new site, so only three members. Don't count this one. ) 5. Asst. Admin http://www.dc-ministries.com/forums/ (50 members) And a couple of others where I'm an advisor, but no official status. More importantly (imho) I am a Security Analyst for Bank One/JpMorgan Chase and Co. While this is not an internet visible position, I'm responsible for the safety/security of employees and assets of the company. Figured I'd give it a go.

Applicants must own or operate an internet security focused site or service, or be an active supporter or staff member at such a site or service in order to to be considered for membership. Thatt seems easy enough. I do have my own tech support site infact http://www.spyware911.netSites and posts of applicants are reviewed to ensure that quality support is being given prior to being granted membership. I wouldn't expect anything less if this is to be a successful organization. Site Admins are responsible for content and staff conduct on their sites, and a periodic review process is in the works to ensure continued quality of support. I agree wholeheartedly I am a long standing member of Tech support Guy Here is my profile there http://forums.techguy.org/member.php?u=56559 Also CybeR Tech help http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/member.php?u=12069I would like to have both myself and my site affiliated with the organization to at least offer some small part in the war on malware.. Ultimate Boot CD for Windows I am the author http://www.ubcd4win.comA project I started about 8 months ago. It is a boot CD based on Bart's PE. Includes only freeware applications for system repair and recovery. Several virus scanners, Adaware, and HiJackThis included. Please check out my site and tell me what you think. I would really like some further security advice and tools to include with my project so I will be checking out these forums. Any quick suggestions from others would be appreciated.

Well, according to the membership criteria that's been made available so far, I don't qualify yet, as I'm only a Helper Trainee on the SWI website. Could I make a suggestion? How about including other criteria, such as job experience with one's profession? I'm an IT/Network Security Engineer, and mainly what I do now is the certification and accreditation of Federal government computer systems. I have also worked as a contractor for a Justice Department agency, doing computer/media forensics, malware/anti-malware evaluations, PDA forensics, etc. I'm also a CISSP and have an M.S. in Network Security.
Can we take some of these things into account, in addition to one's status with a security focused forum? To grow ASAP into a credible, respected organization within the security community, you might want to consider this. Also, as stated in a reply I added to the Suggestions area, I would like to know if ASAP has a charter and who it is registered with.
Thanks.

Thanks. Hi, cissp. Your offline work most certainly qualifies you, and I've amended the criteria to include offline support and service requirements. To answer your other question: No, there isn't a charter as yet, but one is planned along with the above mentioned review board. HTH, and Welcome to ASAP.

And what is the "official" logo, as I've seen two or three different ones? How about linking to ASAP from within our own websites? Thank you.
