There is this file kernel32.dll in the system folder (win98 se).
My Sygate Personal Firewall from time to time pops up
an alert window saying a remote computer is trying to connect with  kernel32.dll
and should it be allowed to access the internet. It is because I have set it
on ask. I see no reason for it to connect to the net so I say no. So far I have
seen nothing to alarm me because of this denial of net access.
I have looked it up on the web. There is a great deal about this dll file
making invalid page faults but nothing about it connecting to the net.
Could someone please help me understand what is happening here.

:D  I have Sygate Personal firewall as you; hopefully you have the
latest version ( 5.6 ) ?  When I have questions such as you, I go
       to their forums @ : http://forums.sygate.com/vb . They have a
"Search" feature to see if that question has already been
answered !? If not, I would advise you to "register" there & ask
that question in the appropiate forum .
