What is PC Optimizer Pro? Is it another virus? Is an antivirus program enough to remove it? If so which one?  Sad

MrCharlie, i have avast, but its not showing me PC optimizer pro as a virus, although i read in here americanpendulum.com/en/2012/07/26/remove-pc-optimizer-pro-virus-uninstall-instructions/ that it is a virus. Its written the same in the link you posted. If i download malwarebytes, should i uninstall my Avast?  Sad Oh and also is there a chance to do something wrong if i delete some related files from the registry(i read that its a little dangerous). Thank you

Lets do it this way:

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from one of the three links below:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.com
http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds

Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs
DDS.txt
Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop and post them back here.
---------------------------------------
Please download and run  RogueKiller to your desktop.

http://tigzy.geekstogo.com/Tools/RogueKillerX64.exe <---use this one for 64 bit systems

Quit all running programs.

For Windows XP, double-click to start.
For Vista or Windows 7, do a right-click on the program, select Run as Administrator to start, & when prompted Allow to run.

Click Scan to scan the system.
When the scan completes > Close out the program > Don't Fix anything!

Don't run any other options, they're not all bad!!!!!!!

Post back the report which should be located on your desktop.

Um, thank you but actually this wasn't my question Undecided I followed the steps from your previous advice, and now all that is left is the antivirus program. So can you tell if i should uninstall avast and download malwarebytes, or is it okay to have them both, or is it necessary to download malwarebytes knowing i have avast?  embarrassed

It's OK to have both and you should scan the system with MB.

Leave avast installed..... MrC
