Hi my computer is locked/frozen, with the Ukash virus, which freezes my screen & I cant get to Safe mode either as it just logs me off.  Any help wld be most appreiceated!

Windows 7 HP laptop.

Hi Mr C - thanks for helping me.

I've got as far as needing to create the repair disk - since when I go to Safe Mode it just logs me off - so I guess I need a writable CD?!  I take it a USB drive is not possible?

You doing something wrong.
You don't need to create a disk.
You need a usb flash drive that you copy FRST to.
Plug the flash drive into the infected PC.
Then boot the computer up as instructed at the link below: (I put that up last night)

As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
Use the arrow keys to select the Repair your computer menu item.
Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.

Continue with on as outlined in step #3
