Imagine if you sent all your post, no matter how sensitive, on a postcard.  You would expect people to read it.  Put it in an envelope and they have to know which letter holds the sensitive information.[p]It the same with e-mail.  Simply sending one can be likened to sending a postcard: your ISP can read it, anybody can intercept it.  You can encrypt it so only the person at the end can decrypt it (this is the equivalent of the envelope) or you can digitally sign it as proof that it hasn\'t been tampered with.[p]And PGP or GnuPG will do that for you.  On this forum, we are going to concern ourselves with the parts of PGP/GnuPG that concern securing emails, not with firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, or the like, from PGP 2.6.x to PGP 7.x and GnuPG 1.0.5.....[p]Join us!
