How do I go about blocking Myspace? I am using a Netgear modem router DG834v2

You could always do so manually from within the router's administration; however I've encountered some NetGear routers that refuse to block any websites.

Here's a full list for you.  I collected this listing with a friend a while back when I was asked how to block all of MySpace.  I actually worked with the router I mentioned above and it refused to block any websites at all.

Turns out, we had to use OpenDNS and their blocking feature in order to get it blocked properly.
