I am trying to partition a mac hard drive with pdisk without any success.
In fact at one stage I used the w command and the table was overwritten. I discovered to my dismay that the machine would not boot. But the drive setup from the os cd recognised the invisible drive and and I was able to initialize it.
I am now understandably reluctant to experiment any more and would appreciate if an expert could point me to a resource which explains the use of pdisk in a simple flowchart style? I had partitined a 4gb drive in two with drive setup but the pdisk was not recognising the other partition. Two more questions?
How much hd space do I need for a linux os?
Which version should i get for an older 6500/250 mac?
Thanks for any help.
